HiWox is building a personalised HealthTech and wellness intelligence ecosystem across 9 wellness dimensions.
The platform will collect structured health, lifestyle, behavioural, smartphone, wearable, device and clinical data, process it through deterministic and explainable intelligence, and generate personalised recommendations, rituals, programs and progress insights.
We are looking for a Health Informatics & Algorithm Engineer who can help convert healthcare knowledge and structured health data into the actual intelligence engine powering HiWox.

Health Informatics & Algorithm Engineer — Equity-Based Founding Role
Key Responsibilities
Health Intelligence Architecture Design the technical and logical architecture for HiWox's health intelligence and decision-making engine across all 9 wellness dimensions.
Healthcare Data Modelling Create structured data models for health parameters, biomarkers, assessments, behaviours, lifestyle factors, device data and clinical test results.
Algorithm Development Develop deterministic, rule-based algorithms that transform raw health and wellness data into meaningful scores, classifications, priorities and actionable insights.
Health Scoring Systems Build scoring, weighting, threshold and interpretation frameworks for individual parameters, assessments and 9-domain wellness scores.
Decision Logic Convert healthcare expert knowledge, scientific frameworks and validated protocols into executable decision trees, rules, conditions and decision pathways.
Personalisation Engine Develop the logic that determines which recommendations, interventions, rituals, programs and reminders should be presented to an individual based on their specific data and circumstances.
Multi-Domain Intelligence Build logic for relationships and interactions between different health parameters and wellness dimensions where scientifically justified.
Health Data Integration Work with data from smartphones, apps, smart rings, wearables, sensors, healthcare devices and clinical/laboratory tests.
Data Normalisation & Interpretation Develop methods to clean, standardise, normalise and interpret data from different sources, devices and measurement systems.
Explainability Layer Ensure every algorithmic output can be traced back to the underlying data, rule, threshold or healthcare framework so that recommendations are understandable and auditable.
Algorithm Validation Create test cases, validation frameworks and simulation environments to evaluate algorithm accuracy, consistency, reliability and edge cases.
Healthcare Expert Collaboration Work closely with Healthcare Scientists, Research Experts, Wellness Consultants and Product teams to convert their knowledge into structured computational logic.
Longitudinal Intelligence Develop algorithms to identify meaningful trends, changes, adherence patterns and progress over time rather than relying only on individual measurements.
Technology Integration Work with software developers and data scientists to convert algorithms into production-ready services, APIs and application workflows.
Continuous R&D Research new health informatics methodologies, digital biomarkers, decision-support systems, computational health models and relevant HealthTech technologies.
Documentation & IP Maintain detailed documentation of algorithms, rules, parameters, thresholds, decision pathways and methodology while identifying opportunities for proprietary technology and intellectual property.
Ideal Candidate
Background in Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, Data Science, Healthcare Technology, Computer Science or a related field
Experience developing algorithms, decision-support systems or healthcare data models
Strong understanding of healthcare data and structured health information
Experience with rule-based systems, scoring models, decision trees or recommendation engines
Strong programming and data-handling skills
Understanding of databases, APIs and algorithm deployment
Ability to work with healthcare/scientific literature and translate knowledge into computational logic
Experience with wearables, digital health, medical devices, clinical data or health platforms is preferred
Understanding of statistical methods and machine learning is an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills
Ability to work with an interdisciplinary founding team
Entrepreneurial mindset and strong ownership
What You Will Build
The core objective is to help build the HiWox Intelligence Engine:
Health Data → Data Normalisation → Health Parameters → Scoring → Rule Engine → Decision Logic → Personalisation → Recommendations → Rituals/Programs → Progress & Feedback
The system should be deterministic, explainable, evidence-backed and continuously testable.

Equity-only founding role
No fixed salary at the current stage
20–25 hours per week
Remote / hybrid
Equity based on contribution, responsibility and long-term commitment
5-year vesting structure for core founding members
Fixed compensation to be introduced after fundraising and revenue stabilisation
