Role Description The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end BI solutions, with a strong focus on Sisense. Day-to-day responsibilities include building scalable data models, implementing data warehousing and ETL processes, and optimizing data pipelines for performance and reliability. The role involves creating interactive dashboards and reports, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. The developer will also contribute to integrating AI-driven features, enhancing dashboard usability, and supporting best practices in analytics architecture. Ongoing tasks include troubleshooting BI issues, mentoring junior team members, and staying current with emerging BI and Sisense capabilities.
Qualifications
Strong data modeling and data warehousing skills, with experience designing scalable, maintainable BI architectures.
Hands-on experience building and optimizing dashboards, with a focus on usability, performance, and actionable insights.
Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear business recommendations.
Proficiency in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, including developing and maintaining reliable data pipelines.
Deep experience with BI platforms (preferably Sisense), including customizations, plugins, and integration with various data sources.
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with scripting or programming languages commonly used in BI (e.g., Python, R, or similar).
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms or data lakes (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in sectors such as Retail, Renewable Energy, Healthcare, or E-commerce is a plus.
