MSS Security is seeking a casual Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Devonport Airport.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Conduct security screening for passengers, staff and visitors.
Operate security technology and systems, including metal detectors, x-ray machines and explosive trace detection tests to identify potential risks or prohibited items.
Perform scans and thorough bag searches when necessary to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.
Monitor and patrol airport premises.
Provide a high standard of customer service to passengers, staff and visitors.
Ideal candidates will have:
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
Requirements:
Ability to undergo and pass a national security police check.
Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).
Full Australian working rights.
