About the role
MSS Security is seeking a Project Security Officer who holds an active NV1 Clearance to lead security operations at a high-profile data centre in Melbourne.
Initially, you will be responsible for overseeing security operations within a construction environment, before transitioning into the established data centre once it is fully operational.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Ensure visitors and contractors remain within authorised areas and are escorted or monitored at all times.
Verify and confirm visitor identification prior to granting access to secure areas and maintain visitor logs.
Challenge and report any unauthorised persons, suspicious behaviour or security breaches in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor compliance with security policies and standards.
Coordinate security audits and maintain compliance registers and audit evidence.
Lead online meetings with the National Account Manager, the customer and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Must be an Australian Citizen and hold an active NV1 Clearance.
Valid Victorian Security Licence.
Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
White Card (or willing to obtain).
Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
Availability to work Monday to Saturday.
Ideally reside in the northern suburbs, with the flexibility to travel to the CBD and western suburbs as required.
Prior experience working in data centres, with a strong understanding of data centre security.
Security team leader experience will be highly regarded.
