We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing (Contractor) to support our Global Strategic Sourcing organization. This role will lead sourcing activities across assigned vendors and projects, with Technology as the primary focus, while also supporting categories such as Professional Services, HR, and Marketing as required. The successful candidate will operate as a senior individual contributor, independently managing complex sourcing initiatives and partnering with stakeholders across functions and geographies. Hybrid work, once a week to Bangalore Office.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of overall professional experience with 7+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and/or Category Management.
Strong experience in Technology/IT sourcing, preferably within a global organization.
Proven experience independently leading complex sourcing projects and commercial negotiations.
Strong knowledge of RFx processes, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
Experience analyzing spend, supplier, and market data and translating insights into actionable sourcing strategies.
Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills, including the ability to work with senior business stakeholders without direct authority.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong commercial judgment with the ability to identify and communicate business, supplier, contractual, and operational risks.
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Procurement or sourcing qualification/certification is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, with Technology as the primary category.
Review and analyze spend, supplier, and market data to identify opportunities for cost optimization, supplier consolidation, demand management, and contract renegotiation.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies in partnership with business stakeholders, considering business requirements, category strategies, supplier capabilities, and market trends.
Lead complete RFx processes, including requirements gathering, supplier identification, go/no-go criteria, evaluation methodology, scorecards, bidder discussions, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and award.
Lead commercial negotiations for master agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), renewals, and other contractual arrangements in partnership with Legal and business stakeholders.
Identify commercial, contractual, supplier, and operational risks and provide recommendations for appropriate mitigation.
Provide stakeholders with sourcing tools, processes, market insights, and guidance to support effective supplier selection and vendor management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
Independently manage multiple sourcing initiatives and changing priorities while maintaining quality and agreed timelines.
Act as a Strategic Sourcing SME, providing commercial advice and constructively challenging stakeholders when appropriate.
Share sourcing knowledge and best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the broader sourcing organization.
