Job Description
Somaya Sampat is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join its Mumbai office.
The role involves working on interior projects across design development, documentation, coordination and execution stages.
Key Responsibilities
Develop interior layouts, concepts and presentation drawings.
Prepare detailed working drawings and construction documentation.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP and other consultants.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for project execution.
Supervise site work and ensure adherence to design intent.
Assist in material, finish, furniture and fixture selections.
Review drawings and site requirements for accuracy and coordination.
Desired Candidate Profile
Degree or Diploma in Interior Design from a reputed institution.
4–8 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong knowledge of interior working drawings and detailing.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Experience in site supervision and contractor coordination.
Experience in high-end corporate interior projects is preferred.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Software Skills
AutoCAD
SketchUp
Adobe Photoshop
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of additional design and visualization software will be an advantage.
