This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities :
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of Process Industries in Bangalore .
You will be mainly accountable for:
Knowledge of DCS/ PLC HW/SW Components .
Knowledge of IT/ Network/ Peripherals like UPS, Printer, PC’s, Server components of DCS .
knowledge in application programming & HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems .
Knowledge on different communication protocols used between PLC & Drives or in automation.
Knowledge of below ABB systems is added advantage o ABB automation systems like 800xA, Advant, Compact HMI etc. ABB ACS880 multi drive, standalone drives o ABB ACS800 multi drive, standalone drives o ABB DCS800 LVDC drives
Qualifications for the role :
8-10 years of relevant work experience in automation systems, application programming & leading of projects end-to-end.
Customer focused  Self-motivated and a self-starter .
Good listening and communication skills (both internally and with customers).
A fast learner with an interest to share knowledge and train peers/ customers .
Fluency in English, written and oral, is a must.
