Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Position Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing India-based sourcing activities for US and Europe business units, driving cost
reduction initiatives, and ensuring the timely execution of sourcing projects. The role collaborates closely with Engineering, Logistics,
Suppliers, Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), and Global Buyers to optimize procurement costs, improve supplier performance, and support
business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead cost reduction initiatives from ideation through implementation for direct material procurement.
• Source and develop suppliers for Metal Fabrication and Machined Steel commodities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Logistics, SQEs, and Buyers to achieve project milestones and delivery timelines.
• Analyze part costs, negotiate tooling investments, pricing, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Manage RFQ processes, sourcing activities, and master data within SAP MM.
• Evaluate engineering drawings and specifications using GD&T knowledge to support sourcing decisions.
• Proven experience in Direct Material Procurement and Strategic Sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Metal Fabrication and Machined Steel manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience in part costing, tooling negotiations, and commercial settlements.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills in a global environment.
