2. About the Opportunity:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing proprietary wrapping and palletizing equipment within customer manufacturing facilities. This role ensures equipment functions optimally through installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and training of both internal technicians and customer employees. The position is critical for supporting customer operations and enhancing the reliability and performance of complex machinery.
3. Responsibilities:
Install proprietary wrapping and palletizing equipment and perform troubleshooting and maintenance at customer sites.
Conduct training sessions for peer technicians and customers on newly installed equipment.
Test machines and components both at company facilities and customer locations.
Service equipment including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration.
Perform startup and commissioning of equipment brands within existing production lines.
Lead training for company technicians and engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
Develop internal training materials and instruct end users on safe operating procedures and maintenance routines.
Travel up to 85% domestically and internationally, including visits to Europe and coordination with counterparts in Serbia.
4. Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 8 years of relevant experience.
8 years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and training on proprietary equipment in the paper products industry.
Ability to work from technical documents including assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
Experience performing mechanical and electrical service, including root cause analysis and reporting.
5 years of experience in machine setup, operation, and process control involving Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and/or Siemens PLC machinery.
Fluency in Serbian to translate training documents and liaise with technical counterparts in Serbia.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually, subject to variation based on experience, skills, and location.
