Mechanical Designer

Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site Mechanical Designer role based in Chennai. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for developing and detailing mechanical designs and technical drawings for EPCC projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Day-to-day activities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, performing basic mechanical calculations, and collaborating with engineers and project teams to refine design concepts. The role also involves supporting research and development initiatives, reviewing designs for manufacturability and safety, and preparing documentation and reports for internal and client use. The Mechanical Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and contribute to continuous improvement in design processes.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and Technical Drawing for preparing detailed 2D and 3D models and fabrication drawings.
Experience or interest in Research and Development (R&D), including exploring new design solutions and improving existing systems.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes for oil and gas, marine, or industrial projects (preferred).
Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple design tasks within deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality.
