Mechanical Engineering Intern

Compensation: $23.00–$31.00 per hour

Why We Have This Role:
This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development and laboratory research. As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Valves and Integrated Process Solutions, you will partner with Engineering, Tech-Ops to contribute to the testing, development and design of existing and new products. In this role, you will report to the Director, Engineering (ME).
Your Responsibilities:
Participate in Lab test set-up and perform experiments
Work with 3D CAD, learning basics of CAM/CNC to support prototyping
Collaborate with a diverse, dynamic, multifunctional team environment
Requirements:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell
Completed 2nd or 3rd year
Honesty, Enthusiasm and Adaptability
Driven to succeed
Excellent communication skills
Experience with SolidWorks/Inventor
Demonstrated examples of mechanical aptitude in coursework or other activities
Presentation of projects either course related or outside interests
