UI Designer Internship (Unpaid)

Role Description As a UI Designer Intern at NoCapCode™, you will support the design of web and product interfaces that are clear, functional, and visually consistent with client brands. In this remote internship role, you will collaborate with designers and developers to create wireframes, mockups, and design systems, and prepare assets for implementation. Your day-to-day work will include refining layouts, typography, color usage, and component states, as well as helping translate product requirements into intuitive user flows. You will participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback, and document design decisions to ensure smooth handoffs and maintain design quality. This internship is designed to offer practical experience in a builder-led environment where you will learn how design choices impact real products and users.
Qualifications
Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color, with ability to create clear and consistent mockups.
Foundational user interface (UI) design skills and familiarity with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or similar).
Basic understanding of user experience (UX) principles, user flows, and interaction patterns.
Exposure to front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, component-based design) and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers.
Attention to detail, willingness to iterate based on feedback, and commitment to accountable, high-quality work.
Strong communication skills and comfort working remotely with a distributed team.
Current student or recent graduate in Design, HCI, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Portfolio or samples demonstrating UI or product design work, even if academic or personal projects.
