Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including API design, microservices, and working with databases.
Extensive experience in Software Development and Programming in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#, or Node.js).
Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
Experience designing and operating distributed systems, cloud-native applications (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of data ingestion, ETL pipelines, and integration with third-party APIs is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, caching technologies, and performance optimization techniques.
Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control systems such as Git.
Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, and proven experience mentoring or leading other engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build highly available, regional and zonal services that operate at massive scale (millions of hosts, billions of API calls)
- Own features end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations
- Develop modern Kotlin/Java/Python/TypeScript services spanning on-host agents, APIs and Web interfaces with measurable impact on availability and security
- Participate in on-call rotations and drive operational excellence
- Work with a team of passionate engineers to deliver the next generation of infrastructure data and provisioning services
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
