Forward Deployed Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of product and advisory, embedded within a seed-stage fintech group that acquires and modernises German tax firms. You will work in tight loops with tax advisors to understand their workflows, ship MVPs quickly, and iterate until the software genuinely solves their problems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build MVPs in close collaboration with practising tax advisors, translating complex advisory workflows into working software.
- Gather requirements directly from non-technical domain experts and turn them into concrete technical implementations.
- Iterate rapidly on features based on direct user feedback from advisory teams.
- Own features end-to-end, from initial scoping and requirements through to production deployment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying production full-stack software.
- Fluency in German, both spoken and written, is essential.
- Proficiency with NestJS or an equivalent backend framework such as Node.js or Express.
- Proficiency with React or an equivalent modern frontend framework.
- Full-stack TypeScript experience is a strong plus.
- A code-first mindset; no reliance on low-code or no-code platforms.
- Comfort working directly with non-technical stakeholders to define requirements and shape solutions.
- Experience in financial services, tax, accounting, or another regulated advisory domain is highly valued.
- Familiarity with German business processes or regulatory environments is a plus.
- Experience in a startup or early-stage environment is preferred.
- A university degree in a relevant field.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range: 60,000 to 120,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

On-site in Berlin, Germany.
