Lead Product Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a senior, hands-on design leadership role at a fast-growing AI communication SaaS company serving small and medium-sized businesses across Europe. You will own product design, brand, and the design team, working directly alongside founders and engineering to shape the experience for thousands of business customers. The role carries significant creative authority and operates with short feedback loops and daily shipping cadence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own product design, branding, and design-team leadership end to end.
- Conduct hands-on product design, run customer interviews, and evolve the brand (roughly half your time).
- Lead design across three product areas in close collaboration with product and engineering.
- Manage and develop the design team covering web, branding, and product design (roughly half your time).
- Build customer understanding through regular conversations with tradespeople, medical practices, and professional service firms.
- Set and maintain the design standard across product, web, and brand.
- Scale design systems and ensure consistent implementation across multiple product areas.
- Contribute to high-impact daily releases with a strong shipping focus.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least five years of end-to-end product design experience with ownership across multiple product areas.
- Proven hands-on expertise in Figma, prototyping, and user interviews.
- Experience building and scaling design systems across several product surfaces.
- Design-team leadership experience, or a clear readiness to step into team responsibility while staying hands-on.
- Strong product and analytics mindset: you measure design decisions and iterate on data.
- Hands-on experience with branding and collaboration with other designers.
- AI-first approach, including practical use of modern AI tools such as code-based design tools and AI assistants to accelerate design work.
- Native-level German (essential for the DACH market) and good professional English.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range: 80,000 to 150,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

On-site in Vienna, Austria.
