Camp Counselor- Outdoor Lab

JOB SUMMARY:
Camp Counselors work at the Clemson Outdoor Lab camp site locations and are responsible for the supervision and safety of all participants in their care (up to 8 participants). Leads participants to and from programs and activities. Identifies and responds to participant behavior issues. Communicates with parents about participants experiences and report any concerns to leadership.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Supervision and Care of Camp Participants:
Camp Counselors are responsible for the supervision and safety of all participants in their care (up to 8 participants). Leads participants to and from programs and activities. Identifies and responds to participant behavior issues. Communicates with parents about participants experiences and report any concerns to leadership.
20% - Safety and Health Regulation:
Camp Counselor must interpret and adhere to the safety regulations provided by the University, Outdoor Lab, and their supervisor. Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the program. Responsible for participants' safety and their whereabouts at all times. Maintains accurate program records including incident reports, health documentation and weekly reports.
10% - Staff Policy:
Camp Counselor must abide by all staff policies. These policies include, but are not limited to, professionalism, behavior, and property use.
10% - Scheduling:
Aids in weekly activities for group. Weekly reports are to be provided for each camper commenting on participation and adjustment to the program.
10% - Camp Programming:
Camp Counselor is responsible for ensuring participant engagement throughout the program. Guides campers in participation with group and one-on-one activities.
Expected Pay: $150 - $700 per week based on qualifications, experience and quantity of work
