Winter 2027 Course Lecturer Position

The Department of Economics is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.
ECON 326-001 Ecological Economics (3 Credits – CAP 73)
Macroeconomic and structural aspects of the ecological crisis. A course in which subjects discussed include the conflict between economic growth and the laws of thermodynamics; the search for alternative economic indicators; the fossil fuels crisis; and "green'' fiscal policy.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Doctoral level study in Economics, including completed comprehensive examinations for the PhD, or completed PhD degree in Economics;
Evidence of highly effective teaching ability or of superior communications skills and potential for teaching excellence;
The candidate's area of specialization should be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;
Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.
Monday and Wednesday 11:35 am-12:55 pm, January 5, 2027 – April 14, 2027. Location: RPHYS 114.
Salary: $11,824 per course.
