Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Personal Trainer may perform some or all of the listed functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Fitness and body composition assessments
Program design
Personal training
Small group training sessions
Personalized gym tours
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Emergency/Standard First Aid and CPR C Certification (REQUIRED)
Personal Trainer certification (eg CanFit Pro, ISSA, NASM) OR Kinesiology degree - MUST BE CURRENT (REQUIRED)
Kinesiologist designation (Federation des Kinesiologues du Quebec) is an asset.
While services are available to all eligible clients, the current demand for personal training comes primarily from women and a significant proportion of the clients assigned to this position are expected to be women.

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
