SharePoint Content Migration Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented SharePoint / Content Migration Specialist to support website, intranet, and digital content migration initiatives. This role will be responsible for organizing, reviewing, migrating, and maintaining large volumes of digital content while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with content management standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, intranet platforms, website content, or digital content migration and can work effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Support SharePoint, website, intranet, and digital content migration projects from planning through completion.
Review, organize, classify, and migrate large volumes of digital content while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Assess existing content and identify outdated, duplicate, incomplete, or unnecessary materials for appropriate action.
Coordinate with business stakeholders, content owners, communications teams, and technical teams to gather requirements and resolve content-related issues.
Maintain content inventories, migration trackers, documentation, and status reports.
Ensure migrated content meets established content governance, quality, formatting, and organizational standards.
Support content restructuring, metadata management, navigation updates, and information architecture activities.
Perform quality assurance checks before and after migration to verify content accuracy, links, formatting, permissions, and overall user experience.
Assist with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Viva Connections, intranet platforms, and other content management systems.
Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions to relevant stakeholders.
Manage multiple priorities independently while meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Contribute to process improvements and documentation related to content migration and ongoing content management.
Required Qualifications
Experience supporting website, intranet, SharePoint, or content migration projects.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated experience managing large volumes of digital content.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Office and related collaboration tools.
Experience working with content management systems (CMS) or digital content platforms.
Ability to identify content issues, follow established standards, and maintain high levels of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SharePoint Online.
Experience with Microsoft Viva Connections or modern intranet platforms.
Experience supporting enterprise intranet or website transformation initiatives.
Background in marketing, communications, digital content management, or content strategy.
Familiarity with content governance, information architecture, metadata, and digital asset management.
Experience with content auditing, quality assurance, and migration tracking tools.
