Senior Electrical Designer | 100% Remote
My client is a specialized architecture and engineering firm focused on the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing industries. They design and deliver GMP-compliant facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories, and highly technical environments for clients across the U.S. and internationally.
📍 Location: 100% remote (with occasional site/client visits)
🕒 Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, permanent position
💰 Salary: $55,000 MXN net per month

Position Overview
We're looking for Senior Electrical Designers/Engineers to join the team. The ideal candidate brings 10-15 years of experience in electrical design, quality control, and project management within industrial manufacturing environments, with a proven ability to lead capital projects, mentor team members, and maintain strong client relationships.
This role is responsible for integrating the entire manufacturing building from an electrical standpoint: not just power distribution and lighting, but also power and controls for HVAC and process equipment, plus instrumentation. Advanced Revit expertise is the single most important requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical system design for life-science, pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced manufacturing facilities, including manufacturing renovations and new builds/greenfield projects.
Deliver electrical designs and coordinated models in Revit as the primary design platform.
Integrate the manufacturing building electrically end-to-end: power distribution, lighting, power and controls for HVAC and process equipment, and instrumentation.
Perform quality control reviews of electrical documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and industry standards.
Develop and maintain design tools, standards, and processes that improve efficiency and consistency across projects.
Coordinate with architecture, mechanical, plumbing, and process teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
Support project management activities including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
Mentor junior designers and engineers, fostering professional growth within the electrical team.
Participate in remote collaboration sessions, design reviews, and client meetings as a technical lead.
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Revit for electrical design (essential, top requirement). Candidates must demonstrate hands-on, production-level Revit experience on complex, multidiscipline projects.
Industrial manufacturing experience (required).
Capital project experience in manufacturing renovations and/or new builds/greenfield projects (required).
Demonstrated ability to perform electrical classification (key requirement).
B.S. in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline (required).
10-15 years of electrical design experience in fast-paced engineering environments.
Pharmaceutical/life-science facility experience is preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA, or the ability to ramp up quickly on the job.
Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, organization, leadership, and communication.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
