VistA/MUMPS Developer – Mid-Level | Healthcare
Remote
We are looking for a VistA/MUMPS Developer to support a mission-critical healthcare application
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with MUMPS/M programming, VistA development, VistA patching, and healthcare application workflows.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, test, and support VistA/MUMPS applications
Develop and maintain MUMPS routines, globals, interfaces, and application components
Analyze existing VistA code and implement enhancements
Perform database/data validation and troubleshooting
Create, package, install, and verify VistA patches
Support releases, production issues, and post-deployment validation
Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, infrastructure teams, and healthcare stakeholders
Maintain technical documentation and release artifacts
🔹 Mandatory Technical Skills:
5+ years of MUMPS/M development
VistA development experience – Must
VistA routines, globals & data structures
FileMan
VistA Patch Development & Release
Patch packaging, installation & verification
Database / data validation
Production support & troubleshooting
Healthcare / clinical application experience
🔹 Preferred Skills
InterSystems Caché / IRIS
VA / Federal Healthcare experience
Pharmacy / Medication Management / E-Prescribing
KIDS (Kernel Installation and Distribution System)
HL7 / Healthcare Interfaces
Git, Jira, Confluence
