It's a different PM role. This is a role that we currently have someone doing but they are moving her to a different part of the project and we are backfilling her. FYI. This role will be 20 hours/week from now until the end of the year and after the 1st it will be 40 hours/week.
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise job scheduling modernization initiatives involving the migration of legacy workload automation platforms to cloud-based scheduling solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience managing large-scale technology transformation programs, with a strong understanding of BMC Control-M and modern SaaS workload automation platforms such as Redwood RunMyJobs.
This role will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage migration planning and execution activities, and ensure successful delivery of a multi-phase enterprise scheduling transformation program.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise workload automation and job scheduling transformation initiatives from planning through execution.
Manage migration programs involving BMC Control-M and cloud-native enterprise scheduling platforms.
Coordinate business, infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to support migration readiness activities.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risk registers, and executive status reporting.
Facilitate workload discovery, dependency mapping, and migration prioritization activities.
Drive governance, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment across multiple program teams.
Manage project scope, budget, resource planning, and vendor coordination.
Ensure adoption of standardized scheduling frameworks, operational processes, and platform governance.
Support implementation planning, workload onboarding strategies, and operational readiness activities.
Present project updates, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Required Qualifications
8+ years of project or program management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives.
Experience managing large-scale application, infrastructure, or cloud migration programs.
Strong understanding of enterprise workload automation and job scheduling concepts.
Demonstrated experience working with BMC Control-M environments.
Experience supporting migrations from legacy platforms to cloud-based or SaaS solutions.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Experience leading geographically distributed technical teams and third-party vendors. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Redwood RunMyJobs or similar enterprise workload automation platforms.
Knowledge of SAP batch processing, enterprise integrations, and scheduling dependencies.
Experience within highly regulated environments such as utilities, energy, financial services, or healthcare.
Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
PMP, PgMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification
