Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment that sets a positive tone for their visit
Escort patients to examination rooms while providing clear directions and answering preliminary questions
Obtain, document, and verify accurate medical histories from patients with precision and sensitivity
Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and communicate findings to clinical staff
Prepare examination and procedure rooms according to established protocols, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available
Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures, anticipating needs and facilitating smooth care delivery
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records while adhering strictly to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, data entry, and patient communication with efficiency and accuracy
Support the clinical team by restocking supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
Respond promptly to patient requests and concerns, demonstrating empathy and a genuine commitment to their comfort and well-being
**Required Qualifications**
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Current BLS-C (Basic Life Support - Certification) certification upon hire, or successful completion by the end of orientation
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and understanding of HIPAA regulations
Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
**Preferred Qualifications**
At least one (1) year of related experience in a medical, clinical, or healthcare support setting
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills for electronic health record (EHR) systems and administrative software
Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Experience with medical terminology and basic anatomy
Demonstrated customer service excellence and patient-centered care philosophy
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, inclusive team environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to support team members across departments
