VCT Homeroom Engineer
Position Description
VCT development (Hydraulics, structural, dynamics design work), lead VCT design, create DFMEA and DVPR, analyze test and simulation data.
Work closely with global members (manufacturing, product, validation, quality group) to develop new VCT products
Work with suppliers to learn and develop new manufacturing processes
Support global application team and projects.
Provide support for manufacturing / quality / supplier development investigation of global VCT application team when needed.
Experience/background
Bachelor/Master Degree on Mechanical engineering or similar degree is preferred
More than 10years of experience in engineering field is preferred.
・ Work experience as engineer or development engineer for automotive engine component is preferred.
・ Understands the fundamentals of automotive components
Skill
Fluent in Japanese
Understands and can follow product design procedure
Works diligently and is positive in learning new products
・ Action oriented. Can work proactively on its own
・ Has the skill to communicate across different groups (within and outside of Product Engineering)
・ Can report to the manager at a timely manner.
・ Has the necessary PC skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
Capable of holding engineering explanation and discussion with BorgWarner global team. Capable of understanding and expressing in English.
Has a good understanding of hydraulics, dynamics, structural design, controls and GD&T.
