2. About the Opportunity:
The Integration Engineer - FCS is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise interoperability solutions that facilitate secure healthcare data exchange. This role plays a critical part in modernizing healthcare integration technologies and ensuring the reliability and scalability of data exchange platforms to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
3. Responsibilities:
Design, build, and support healthcare integrations using InterSystems HealthConnect, Ensemble, and IRIS.
Develop and maintain HL7 v2.x interfaces including ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT, and MDM workflows.
Build and support FHIR and SMART on FHIR APIs and REST-based integration services.
Design message transformation, orchestration, routing, validation, and exception handling using JSON and XML.
Troubleshoot interface failures, data quality issues, API errors, and system integration challenges.
Implement source control and automated deployments using Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
Monitor integration platforms, APIs, and messaging services for reliability and performance.
Collaborate with architects, application teams, cybersecurity partners, and business stakeholders.
4. Requirements:
4+ years of experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and supporting healthcare or enterprise integration solutions.
Experience with HL7 v2.x healthcare messaging standards.
Experience developing or supporting FHIR and REST APIs.
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and data exchange solutions.
Expertise in message transformation, routing, orchestration, and interface design.
Proficiency with Git for source control and CI/CD deployment.
Experience troubleshooting production integration environments.
Experience working with HIPAA-regulated or similarly regulated systems.
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
Experience with InterSystems HealthConnect.
Experience implementing FHIR integrations.
Knowledge of OAuth, authentication, authorization, and API security standards.
Familiarity with JSON, XML, SQL, ODBC, and JDBC.
Experience in oncology, provider, payer, or broader healthcare settings.
Experience supporting high-availability integration platforms and incident management.
Experience driving automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
$82,700 - $137,900
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
