SAP RISE Migration Consultant

About Position:
We are seeking an experienced SAP RISE Migration Consultant to support and execute SAP landscape migration programs to RISE with SAP. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing migration activities across the complete lifecycle, including assessment, planning, technical execution, validation, cutover, stabilization, and hypercare support. In this role, you will work closely with customer teams, SAP stakeholders, hyperscaler providers, infrastructure teams, application teams, and business users to ensure successful migration outcomes with minimal business disruption. The position requires strong expertise in SAP architecture, migration planning, dependency analysis, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.

What You'll Do:
Assess existing SAP landscapes including system architecture, interfaces, integrations, dependencies, hosting environments, security controls, and operational constraints.
Analyze SAP environments and identify migration requirements, risks, and technical prerequisites.
Develop comprehensive migration strategies and execution roadmaps for RISE with SAP programs.
Create migration wave plans, cutover schedules, rollback plans, and responsibility matrices.
Coordinate migration activities across SAP, customer, infrastructure, hyperscaler, and third-party vendor teams.
Support technical migration activities including system build, connectivity setup, data transfer, and environment preparation.
Participate in technical migration execution, validation, and stabilization activities.
Manage migration rehearsals, mock cutovers, production cutovers, and post-migration support activities.
Track and manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, defects, and decisions throughout the migration lifecycle.
Coordinate functional testing, technical testing, business validation, performance verification, and security assessments.
Validate migration readiness and ensure successful transition to production environments.
Support backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning activities.
Prepare architecture documentation, migration runbooks, cutover plans, operational procedures, and handover documentation.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions and provide regular migration status updates.
Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations in business-friendly language.
Support hypercare activities and ensure timely closure of migration-related issues.
Ensure compliance with security, quality, change management, and service management standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and migration best practices.
Expertise You'll Bring:
5 to 8 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration and SAP technical migration projects.
Proven experience supporting or delivering RISE with SAP migration initiatives.
Strong understanding of SAP landscape architecture and enterprise SAP environments.
Experience planning and executing SAP migration activities across development, quality, and production systems.
Hands-on experience with complex SAP landscapes and enterprise-scale migrations.
Strong knowledge of SAP BASIS Administration, SAP HANA, SAP System Architecture, Operating Systems, Database Administration, SAP Interfaces, SAP Security.
Understanding of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability concepts within SAP environments.
Experience analyzing technical dependencies and infrastructure requirements.
Strong expertise in migration planning and execution methodologies.
Experience preparing Migration Strategies, Cutover Plans, Rollback Plans, Activity Schedules, Migration Workbooks.
Experience coordinating large-scale migration activities across multiple teams.
Strong understanding of dependency management and operational readiness planning.
Experience managing migration risks and issue resolution processes.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA Migration, Software Update Manager (SUM), Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM), Database Migration Option (DMO).
Familiarity with cloud-based SAP deployments and hyperscaler environments.
Knowledge of SAP cloud connectivity and migration tools.
Experience supporting SAP modernization and transformation initiatives.
Experience coordinating migration testing activities.
Strong understanding of System Validation, Business Validation, Performance Testing, Security Validation, Operational Readiness Reviews.
Experience managing post-migration stabilization and hypercare support.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues effectively.
Strong customer-facing consulting experience.
Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with SAP Teams, Customer Teams, Infrastructure Teams, Security Teams, Business Stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced migration projects.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
