About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Payments Products Development team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative software solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI, conversational AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and modern integration patterns. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the capabilities of our platforms, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technological innovation. You will be expected to evaluate emerging ideas and technologies from internal and external sources, translating relevant concepts into secure, scalable, and reliable business solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that directly impact our payment ecosystem, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Cybersecurity, and Client Support to deliver high-value solutions. You will also play a key role in advancing our technology modernization initiatives, automating development processes, and maintaining high standards of engineering excellence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. Expertise in Java, Python, and Node.js is essential, with additional experience in C++ or C# being advantageous. Candidates should have hands-on experience building Generative AI applications, conversational AI solutions, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures, along with familiarity with associated tools and libraries. A strong understanding of natural language processing concepts, neural network architectures, and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is required. Proficiency in front-end technologies like React and Angular, as well as experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes, is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a solid grasp of security practices, enterprise integration, and AI-assisted engineering. Experience working with large datasets, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation is also important. Knowledge of industry best practices in software development, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and application security, is essential. Prior experience in the payments industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement innovative software solutions utilizing generative AI, conversational AI, RAG, and modern integration techniques to enhance payment platforms.
Integrate AI components into larger enterprise systems, ensuring robustness, security, operational reliability, and continuous improvement throughout the AI lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Cybersecurity, and Support to deliver complex projects that incorporate emerging technologies.
Stay current with advancements in AI, machine learning, and engineering practices, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Develop and refine APIs to facilitate seamless integration across payment applications, platforms, and AI services, supporting technology modernization efforts.
Contribute to process improvements by automating development, testing, deployment, and maintenance workflows, leveraging AI-assisted tools responsibly.
Support incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and change management processes to ensure high system availability and reliability.
Adhere to industry best practices in software development, emphasizing security, performance, scalability, and quality.
Participate in ongoing training and development to expand expertise in AI, machine learning, cloud technologies, and enterprise software engineering.
