About The Role
We are seeking a talented Fullstack Web Developer specializing in PHP and WordPress to join our team in Viersen. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within agile teams in a flexible environment that values innovation and individual contribution. As part of our development team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining engaging, high-performance websites that meet our clients' needs. Your role will involve working on both the frontend and backend, utilizing modern technologies and frameworks such as Symfony, React, and Vue. You will be instrumental in translating creative designs into functional websites, ensuring technical quality, and optimizing performance. Collaboration with colleagues and direct client communication will also be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to develop a comprehensive understanding of client requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in web development, with practical experience in PHP and WordPress. You should appreciate clean, well-structured code and prefer developing custom solutions over using pre-made templates. Technical proficiency in HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP is essential, along with familiarity with Docker and Git for version control and containerization. Knowledge of Bootstrap, Symfony, and Twig is highly desirable, and experience with React or Vue will be considered a plus. Additional familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopware, Shopify, Magento, or Gambio will be advantageous. You should possess a self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized working style, with excellent communication skills in both German and English. Prior experience working on projects exceeding 500 hours and managing customer relationships is beneficial.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain websites with a focus on PHP, WordPress, and modern frontend technologies, ensuring high quality and performance.
Implement and customize WordPress themes and plugins, translating design mockups into functional websites.
Utilize Symfony and relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL for project development and enhancement.
Conduct technical and visual quality assurance to ensure websites meet specified standards.
Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO, supporting the SEO team in achieving visibility goals.
Manage existing client websites, providing ongoing support and implementing new features as needed.
Collaborate within teams or independently on medium to large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
Stay updated with the latest web development trends and integrate innovative solutions into projects.
