About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (m/w/d) to join our aerospace team at Blackwave GmbH. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our high-performance carbon fiber components, specifically COPVs, meet the highest quality standards throughout their lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on quality assurance of hardware, working closely with manufacturing and development teams to implement and maintain robust quality processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace projects, ensuring that our products perform flawlessly under extreme conditions in air, orbit, and beyond.
Qualifications
Degree in engineering, quality management, production technology, or a comparable field.
Relevant professional experience in quality planning, risk management, and manufacturing environments.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa diagrams.
Knowledge of applicable quality standards, including ISO9001, and practical experience in their implementation.
Ability to work independently, think solution-oriented, and derive insights from quality data.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German is a plus for cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities
Define and implement comprehensive project and process quality assurance strategies across the entire product lifecycle, from supplier management and development to serial production.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams on the shop floor to ensure quality requirements are effectively integrated at all production stages.
Support product and process changes by evaluating quality impacts, participating in approval processes, and ensuring seamless implementation.
Conduct root cause analyses for quality deviations using structured methods such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5-Why, and develop sustainable corrective actions.
Monitor key quality indicators, including audit findings and non-conformities, and proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process robustness and product reliability.
