Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. Under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you¿ll perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your work directly supports physicians and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.

What You Will Do
Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
Take medical histories and measure/record vital signs accurately.
Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, assisting physicians as needed.
Demonstrate clinical competence in performing a wide variety of ambulatory patient care tasks.
Utilize basic computer skills to manage patient records and support administrative tasks.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR
Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR
Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR
Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR
Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
Current BLS-C certificate.
Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
