Relationship Manager
What does a successful Relationship Manager do?
At Fiserv, a successful Relationship Manager builds trusted partnerships that help clients thrive in a fast-moving payments environment. This role supports strategic clients by aligning our solutions with their business goals and helping them maximise value from our products and services. You will act as an engaged advocate, combining commercial insight with proactive relationship management to drive growth, client satisfaction and long-term success. Working as a partner in possibility, you will help strengthen client trust while supporting Fiserv’s mission to move commerce and financial services forward.
What you will do:
Build and strengthen relationships with key client stakeholders, including senior executives, to support long-term partnership growth
Lead regular client meetings, account reviews and face-to-face engagements to understand business priorities and deliver value
Identify commercial opportunities through solution selling, product adoption and portfolio expansion
Analyse portfolio performance to uncover trends, manage risk and recommend actions that improve client outcomes
Resolve service concerns proactively and coordinate internal support before issues become broader business risks
Partner with Pricing, Risk, Credit, AML, Operations and Sales teams to deliver strong client outcomes
Support onboarding activities for new corporate clients and provide ongoing relationship management throughout the client lifecycle
Maintain accurate account plans, activity updates and client insights to support effective portfolio management
What you will need to have:
Experience managing client relationships in card payments, merchant acquiring or financial services
Knowledge of interchange, scheme fees, merchant pricing and payment economics
Understanding of chargebacks, disputes and card scheme processes
Ability to manage a portfolio independently, prioritise effectively and make sound commercial decisions
Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers
What would be great to have:
Experience with payment gateways, ecommerce solutions and technical integrations
Background supporting strategic or enterprise-level clients within the payments industry
Familiarity with consultative selling and identifying growth opportunities across a client portfolio
Confidence interpreting performance data and turning insights into actionable recommendations
A self-motivated, energetic approach with a strong passion for building lasting client relationships
