As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Survey Data Processor and Analyst to join our Highway Surveys team and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Survey Data Processor and Analyst to support the secure handling, processing and management of survey data collected from our field operations. You’ll need to be organised, detail-focused and comfortable working with large volumes of digital data, while also being able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Full training will be provided on our systems, processes and specialist survey equipment.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
•Managing, transferring and securely backing up survey data received from field survey teams, including organising storage media, maintaining accurate records and carrying out data quality checks.
Processing and reviewing 4K survey video footage, including basic video editing and preparation of footage for client delivery and internal use.
Processing Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data using specialist software, carrying out initial quality checks and preparing datasets for further analysis and reporting.
Supporting data analysis activities, including data validation, manipulation, quality control and producing basic outputs from survey datasets.
Supporting the wider Highway Surveys team with data-related queries and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with SOCOTEC’s data security, quality and retention procedures.
To be a successful Survey Data Processor and Analyst, you should be able to demonstrate:
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large volumes of digital data accurately.
Confidence using computers and learning new software and systems, with a methodical approach to problem solving and data management.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage workloads effectively and meet project deadlines.
Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop knowledge of specialist survey technologies.
An interest in technology, data, surveying or highways.
Desirable experience and qualifications:
Experience in data processing, data management, video processing or editing.
Experience with GIS, geospatial data, GPR or survey data processing.
Experience working within highways or infrastructure surveying.
Experience using Microsoft Excel or other data analysis software.
Experience in these areas is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
