Role Description The Vice President of Engineering is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the technical vision, strategy, and execution of PMG’s technology initiatives. This role oversees engineering teams that design, build, and maintain software solutions and tools supporting portfolio analysis, research workflows, data management, and reporting. The Vice President of Engineering collaborates with leadership and functional stakeholders to prioritize projects, define product requirements, and ensure alignment between technology roadmaps and organizational objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing engineering operations, mentoring team members, establishing best practices for software development and quality, and coordinating project timelines and resources. The role also involves driving innovation in data infrastructure, analytics platforms, and automation capabilities to enhance PMG’s investment processes and member experience.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Engineering Management and Team Leadership, with experience building and guiding high-performing, collaborative engineering teams.
Strong background in Software Development, including hands-on experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and software architecture.
Proficiency in Project Management, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver complex technical initiatives on time and within scope.
Experience in Product Development, including translating user needs into technical requirements and managing product lifecycles from concept to deployment.
Solid understanding of data systems, cloud infrastructure, and APIs; experience with analytics or fintech platforms is beneficial.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience in financial services, investment management, or data-intensive domains is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
