About the Opportunity:
The QA AUTOMATION MANAGER leads quality assurance efforts to ensure the delivery of secure, reliable software products across teams and platforms. This role involves managing and developing a QA team, overseeing manual and automated testing, and collaborating across functions to define and implement quality strategies. The position is central to maintaining high-quality standards and promoting continuous improvement in software quality within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in manual and automation testing.
Review test plans, test cases, and scripts for comprehensive coverage.
Manage team workload and capacity.
Identify, log, and track defects, working with developers to resolve issues.
Establish and maintain QA standards and best practices.
Advocate for quality across teams.
Oversee test planning and execution for features and releases.
Standardize test documentation.
Expand and lead automation frameworks and practices.
Prioritize automation tasks and report progress to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years in software QA, preferably in health tech.
At least 2 years leading QA engineers.
Strong knowledge of Agile methods and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with manual and automated testing.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
Familiarity with API testing tools.
Preferred knowledge of healthcare regulations like HIPAA, FDA, GDPR.
SQL skills for database validation.
Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Base salary range is $130,000 to $140,000, dependent on experience, skills, and location, with consideration for team parity and growth potential.
