About the Opportunity:
The SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR I is responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on routine systems administration, monitoring, patching, backup validation, Active Directory support, troubleshooting, and documentation. It provides an opportunity to develop hands-on experience with Windows systems, virtualization, infrastructure operations, automation, cloud technologies, and acquisition integration activities, contributing to the stability and efficiency of the organization's IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Support Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure systems.
Perform routine systems maintenance following approved procedures.
Assist with server provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
Support virtualization platforms and manage virtual-machine lifecycle tasks.
Participate in maintenance windows and change implementations.
Maintain accurate infrastructure inventories and documentation.
Monitor infrastructure alerts and validate backup-job results.
Assist with restore testing and disaster-recovery readiness.
Execute server patching during maintenance windows and validate system availability.
Perform routine Active Directory administration and support DNS and DHCP troubleshooting.
Manage certificate inventories and service-account configurations.
Investigate infrastructure incidents and document resolutions.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams.
Create and maintain knowledge articles and operational procedures.
Engage in team cross-training and continuous improvement.
Execute tasks related to infrastructure projects, migrations, and acquisitions.
Support discovery, inventory validation, readiness reviews, and cutover validation.
Requirements:
High school diploma.
Up to four years of relevant IT support or infrastructure experience.
Two years of college coursework or equivalent technical training in IT-related fields.
Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals.
Basic troubleshooting skills for workstations, OS, software, and infrastructure services.
Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain documentation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
Commitment to adhering to information-security policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in internships, help desk, desktop support, lab, or junior systems administration roles.
Exposure to Windows Server, virtualization, backup, monitoring, or patch-management tools.
Introductory scripting experience, such as PowerShell.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 administration.
