We’re looking for a Lead Backend Engineer with strong experience in backend engineering, AWS, cloud infrastructure, and system architecture. You will own the design and development of scalable backend systems and contribute to key technical and architectural decisions.
Responsibilities
Design and build scalable, reliable backend systems and APIs
Own backend architecture, system design, and technical decisions
Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure
Build and manage cloud environments using services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch
Design and implement distributed systems, microservices, databases, caching, and asynchronous workflows
Ensure infrastructure and applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient
Set up and improve CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and observability
Troubleshoot complex backend, cloud, and production infrastructure issues
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across backend and cloud engineering
Requirements
5+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong experience with backend technologies such as Node.js/TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot, Python, Go, or similar
Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, and distributed systems
Hands-on experience designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure
Strong understanding of AWS networking, IAM, security, compute, storage, databases, and monitoring
Experience with databases, caching, APIs, and messaging systems
Experience with Docker and CI/CD
Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills
