Position Overview
We are seeking a warm, creative, and enthusiastic Pre-Primary Teacher to nurture and guide young learners during their crucial early developmental years. The ideal candidate will create a secure, joyful, and language-rich classroom environment that sparks curiosity, fosters fine and gross motor development, and builds early literacy and numeracy skills through structured, play-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery & Classroom Engagement
Deliver age-appropriate, play-based lessons incorporating sensory activities, storytelling, music, movement, and arts and crafts.
Teach foundational literacy (phonics, vocabulary, early writing readiness) and early numeracy (shapes, numbers, sorting, pattern recognition).
Design vibrant, interactive learning centers within the classroom to encourage exploration and independent play.
Child Care, Safety & Well-being
Ensure a safe, clean, hygienic, and emotionally supportive classroom at all times.
Assist children with daily routines, transitions, personal hygiene habits, and mealtime etiquette.
Observe social-emotional development, gently guiding children in sharing, empathy, turn-taking, and conflict resolution.
Assessment & Progress Observation
Conduct continuous, non-intrusive developmental observations rather than formal testing.
Maintain detailed portfolios, milestone trackers, and anecdotal records for each child across cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional parameters.
Prepare clear, constructive term-end progress reports.
Parent Collaboration & Community
Build open, trusting relationships with parents through daily logs, newsletters, and regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
Provide constructive, empathetic updates on developmental milestones and address parental concerns promptly.
Actively organize and participate in school celebrations, sports day, annual day, and thematic culminations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., or equivalent).
Teaching Qualifications (Mandatory - Any one of the following):
B.Ed. or D.Ed. / D.El.Ed.
Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) / Montessori Teacher Training (MTT)
Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE / ECCED)
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) certification
Any other recognized diploma or certification in Kindergarten / Pre-Primary Education.
Experience: 0 to 15 years.
Freshers (0–1 year): Must demonstrate strong passion, high energy, and active certification in early childhood education.
Experienced Teachers (2–15 years): Proven record in phonics instruction, lesson planning, and early years curriculum execution.
Key Skills & Competencies
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; clear diction and expressive storytelling ability.
Temperament: High levels of patience, warmth, empathy, and classroom presence.
Creativity: Ability to design innovative teaching aids, charts, and activity setups with minimal resources.
Tech Comfort: Basic digital literacy for handling digital attendance, school communication apps, and smart classroom tools.
