Job Summary:
This is an Internal Employment Opportunity
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time, short-term, Special Assistant to Coaches: Baseball & Softball for the Department of Athletics. This position is expected to last approximately 8 months.

Teach individuals and groups of players specific tasks and skills during and after practice, during season and off-season.
Provides consultation and expert advice to Head Coaches and team members.
Leading skill development sessions and drills.
Evaluating high level recruitable prospects in a high school or club environment.
Travel may be required to complete some or all of the position’s duties and may include driving one’s self to events.
Required to adhere to all NCAA rules, restrictions, guidelines for all off-campus recruiting
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in field of choice
10 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division 1 level
Experience and understanding of NCAA Rules and Regulations.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy05-030.
Preferred Qualifications:
Head Coaching experience at Collegiate level
Working Conditions/Schedule:• Must work evenings and weekends.
• Travel required
• Often works with youth 18 and under.
• Access to secure areas
