Sr HR Business Partner

The Opportunity:
The People & Culture Business Partner is the primary People & Culture partner for leaders and employees across Malaysia and Indonesia. Working closely with the Senior Manager, People & Culture – South Asia, the role delivers local people strategies and provides trusted advice that supports business performance, organizational effectiveness and an engaging employee experience.
The role partners with local leaders implement People & Culture priorities across the employee lifecycle, including talent, performance, employee relations, organizational change, engagement and workforce planning. The People & Culture Business Partner collaborates with Regional People & Culture Business Partners, Centers of Excellence and P&C Operations to ensure consistent delivery of enterprise initiatives while responding to local business needs.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Business Partnership
Act as the primary People & Culture partner for leaders across Malaysia and Indonesia.
Build trusted relationships with managers to understand business priorities and provide pragmatic people solutions.
Support leaders in organizational effectiveness, workforce planning and capability development.
Provide coaching and guidance on leadership, performance and employee matters.
Talent & Organization
Support talent reviews, succession planning and development planning.
Partner with leaders on recruitment, onboarding and internal mobility.
Assist in organizational design and restructuring initiatives.
Support implementation of enterprise talent programs within the local markets.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Provide advice on employee relations, performance management, conduct, leave management and policy interpretation.
Manage routine employee relations matters and support more complex cases with the Senior Manager.
Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and company policies across Malaysia and Indonesia.
Maintain positive employee and union/works council relationships where applicable.
Employee Experience & Engagement
Support local engagement initiatives and action planning following employee surveys.
Partner with leaders to strengthen culture, inclusion and wellbeing.
Lead local communication and change management activities for regional and global initiatives.
Operational Excellence
Partner with P&C Operations to ensure seamless delivery of employee lifecycle activities.
Ensure quality and compliance of People & Culture processes and documentation.
Use people data and insights to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Drive continuous improvement and simplification of local People & Culture processes.
Scope
Supports the Commercial businesses across Malaysia and Indonesia.
Partners primarily with Functional Leaders and people leaders (typically L6 and below).
Supports approximately 70–100 employees
Individual contributor reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture – South Asia.
Works closely with Regional Business Partners, Centres of Excellence and P&C Operations.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
5+ years' experience in Human Resources or People & Culture, including business partnering.
Experience advising leaders on performance management, employee relations and organisational change.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation; exposure to Indonesian employment practices is advantageous.
Experience working in a matrix, regional or multinational organisation.
Experience supporting multiple countries.
Experience partnering with commercial or corporate functions.
Strong analytical and change management capability.
