Head, Portfolio Management

Lead Melville Douglas' offshore portfolio management franchise, delivering strategic direction and investment oversight to achieve consistent, superior risk-adjusted returns. Shape the investment framework, aligning research, asset allocation and risk. Drive performance, leadership and consistency across regional teams, leveraging global insights and platform collaboration to deliver differentiated client outcomes and support long-term growth.
Minimum Qualification:
Masters Degree in Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Actuarial Science or Chartered Financial Accountant (CFA) III or equivalent
Experience Required :
10+ years experience in Asset and Portfolio Management
Expertise and experience in both risk management and reporting and communication at a portfolio level within a bank. Experience in dealing with African Markets a requirement. Experience in presentations and report writing a requirement

Provide strategic leadership and stewardship to the offshore portfolio management function across Melville Douglas to deliver consistent risk-adjusted investment performance, uphold the firm's investment philosophy and client mandates, and strengthen the long-term growth and market positioning of the investment franchise.
Define and drive the portfolio management strategy across all regions to ensure alignment with business objectives, evolving market dynamics and client risk-return expectations, thereby supporting superior investment outcomes and the long-term growth of the Melville Douglas franchise.
Own the end-to-end investment process across discretionary portfolios, ensuring disciplined portfolio construction, asset allocation, and performance optimisation for HNW and institutional clients.
Lead the alignment and integration of portfolio management activities across the offshore platform to drive consistency in investment execution, risk disciplines and client outcomes, enhancing the resilience and long-term performance of the Melville Douglas investment franchise
Collaborate across offshore and global teams to leverage international investment capability, ensuring diversified and globally informed portfolio solutions.
