Piping Design Lead - Energy, Oil, Gas

Lead piping design and layout for oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical and energy facilities, from plot plans and 3D modelling through deliverables and site support, with strong ownership of plant modification and brownfield work and of the design team's output.
Mandatory qualifications:
15+ years in piping design and layout, with recent years asLead or Area Lead
Oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical or LNG EPC projects
Plot plans, equipment layouts, piping GAs, isometrics andMTOs
Greenfield and brownfield projects, including plant modifications and tie-ins
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
AVEVA E3D / PDMS, advanced
SmartPlant 3D (S3D) Navisworks for model review and clash checks
AutoCAD, and AutoCAD ReCap or similar for laser scan data
Isogen or SmartPlant Isometrics
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of CAESAR II and stress interfaces
E3D or S3D administration, catalogues and specifications
Site or construction support experience Offshore platform piping exposure
Owner or operator project experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Discipline Leadership
Plan and allocate piping design work and track man-hours and progress
Check and approve layouts, models and drawings before issue
Mentor designers and draftsmen and keep modelling standards consistent
Layout and 3D Modelling
Develop plot plans, unit layouts and equipment arrangements
Lead pipe routing, pipe support locations and access and maintenance planning
Run 3D model reviews with clients, operations and other disciplines
Deliverables
Issue piping GAs, isometrics, support drawings and MTOs
Ensure compliance with piping material specifications and project standards
Brownfield and Plant Modifications
Plan and lead site surveys, laser scan data use and tie-in identification
Develop modification packages that can be built within shutdown windows
Interfaces and Standards
Coordinate with Stress, Process, Civil and Structural, I&C and Mechanical disciplines
Work to ASME B31.3, relevant API standards and owner specifications
