Senior Civil & Structural Designer (S3D)

RVN Inc. is hiring on behalf of one of our engineering clients
Experience : 3 to 10 years in Auto CAD with Revit knowledge.
Location: Chennai
Notice : Immediate to 15 days only preferred .
Mandate Skills Needed :
S3D Modelling (Structural – Mandatory)
Tekla Structures (Steel Modelling / Detailing)
RCC Foundations + Structural Steel (Pipe rack / equipment structures)
GA & Fabrication Drawings + MTO Extraction
Oil & Gas / EPC + Navisworks (Model Review)
Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery EPC Project Experience is must
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
3D Modelling and Design
Develop and manage 3D civil and structural models using S3D and Tekla Structures
Model RCC foundations, pipe racks, equipment foundations, buildings, platforms, stairs, handrails and steel structures
Ensure alignment with plot plans, equipment layouts, piping loads and vendor drawings
Apply approved project specifications, material grades and modelling standards
Handle greenfield and brownfield design constraints
Deliverables
Prepare and extract GA drawings, foundation drawings, structural steel GA and fabrication drawings, and rebar detailing where applicable
Generate and validate MTOs and BOQs from S3D and Tekla models
Support interfaces with the fabrication and construction teams
Interdisciplinary Coordination
Coordinate closely with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines
Resolve clashes and layout issues raised during 3D model reviews
Support model review sessions with clients, licensors and PMC teams
Ensure constructability and maintenance accessibility in the design
Technical Leadership and Review
Guide, mentor and technically support junior designers and draftsmen
Review models and drawings for quality, accuracy and standards compliance
Support the Discipline Lead on execution planning, work allocation and progress monitoring
Carry lessons learned and best practices across projects
Quality, Standards and Compliance
Work to AISC, ACI, IS, BS and Eurocode along with client and project specifications
Participate in model freeze milestones, audits and quality reviews
Close out comments from clients and third party reviewers on time
Preferred Qualifications:
Fabrication driven modelling using Tekla
Experience across refineries, petrochemicals and specialty chemicals, fertilizers or process plants
SmartSketch
Client facing and model review experience
Strong understanding of EPC workflows and deliverable sequences
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on tight schedules and complex interfaces

Work arrangement
