About the Opportunity:
The LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER role is designed to drive the development and delivery of advanced AI applications within clinical platform teams. This position leads a team of AI engineers to create and implement AI and large language models (LLM) that enhance healthcare technology solutions. The role is critical in ensuring high-quality software development, operational support, and smooth deployment processes, directly contributing to the organization's goal of improving health outcomes through technology.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders and Technical Product Owners to ensure successful project delivery
Develop AI applications for use across clinical platform teams
Lead a team of AI engineers in delivering AI/LLM models
Provide leadership in software development to meet business requirements
Manage operational support and resolve production issues
Participate actively in deployment activities to ensure smooth releases
Mentor development teams and promote best practices in engineering and agile delivery
Drive end-to-end project delivery aligned with organizational goals
Requirements:
Over 10 years of software development experience with proven team leadership
At least 5 years in clinical or healthcare-related projects
Minimum 1 year of experience developing AI/LLM models
Experience leading AI teams
Proficiency in Java, Camunda, PostgreSQL, React, Kafka, and Elasticsearch
Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range: $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment
Compensation is influenced by local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications
