About the Opportunity:
The LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, testing, and documenting software solutions while overseeing application ownership duties including incident management and production validation. This role leads solution delivery and implementation for programs and projects, collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to ensure developer-ready requirements. The position plays a critical role in maintaining system reliability, enhancing software quality, and advancing development practices within an agile and DevOps framework.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, configure, test, and document software applications and components.
Provide production support for internal and third-party applications, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Act as application owner for incident management and production validation.
Lead solution delivery and implementation for programs and projects.
Interface with product owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
Implement agile, scrum, and DevOps processes including continuous integration and automated testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across server, database, and user interface components.
Write custom code for resiliency testing in production environments.
Adhere to maintenance and project plans, support plans, and production requirements.
Participate and lead learning activities on modern software design and development practices.
Keep current with technological trends and prototype new technologies.
Review and discuss code for best practices and design patterns.
Provide technical leadership during project phases and coordinate IT resources.
Utilize agile project management tools to ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate with IT Security to ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum seven years of experience in development and system design.
Extensive knowledge of computer systems architecture, design, and project management.
Expert proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure, O365, AWS), SharePoint (2013+), .NET Core, Dynamics.
Strong development skills with .NET / ASP.NET / C#.NET / SQL Server / Microsoft CRM Web Services.
Expertise in C#, Visual Basic .NET, F#, C++ .NET.
Deep knowledge of C#, .Net framework, Asp.Net, MVC, OOAD, multi-tier architectures, and design patterns.
Experience with web services (WCF, REST, SOA), MS Entity Framework, MVC GUI design including JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX/SPA.
Proficient with tools such as MS SQL Studio, PL/SQL Developer.
Strong analytical, problem solving, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively.
Experience working in agile frameworks like Scrum.
Knowledge of coding standards, quality requirements, and departmental workflows.
Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and technical vendor management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to assignments at various locations.
