We’re looking for a Senior Workday Functional Consultant to join our team as a key subject matter expert across Workday Recruiting, Onboarding, and Core HCM.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being both a strategic partner and a system expert—working directly in Workday to design and configure solutions, solve complex issues, and turn business needs into scalable processes.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the functional SME for Workday Recruiting, Onboarding, and Core HCM.
Design, configure, test, and support Workday business processes, workflows, approvals, condition rules, notifications, questionnaires, onboarding tasks, and Core HCM structures.
Lead requirements and process-design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
Translate business needs into functional designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, configurations, and test scenarios.
Troubleshoot complex issues involving business processes, worker and recruiting data, configuration, and security access.
Partner with technical teams on integrations, data mappings, business rules, and downstream impacts.
Support candidate-to-worker processes and ensure employee data consistency across systems.
Lead testing activities, including regression, localization, integration, and UAT.
Support Workday implementations and enhancements from discovery through deployment and stabilization.
Assess Workday releases and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
Maintain functional documentation and knowledge-transfer materials while balancing production support with project priorities.
What You Bring
5+ years of hands-on Workday functional consulting or product experience.
Strong hands-on expertise configuring and supporting Workday Recruiting, Onboarding, and Core HCM.
Proven experience performing Workday configuration, not solely advisory or business analysis work.
Experience leading requirements workshops and cross-functional solution discussions.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs, configurations, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
Experience delivering at least one Workday implementation or significant enhancement through testing, deployment, and stabilization.
Working knowledge of Workday organizations, staffing models, employee lifecycle events, reporting, and integration impacts.
Strong troubleshooting skills across business processes, condition rules, security/access, and worker or recruiting data.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Advanced English proficiency.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to have real ownership and impact in Workday—combining functional expertise, hands-on configuration, stakeholder partnership, and solution design in a highly collaborative environment.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, improving processes, and getting into the details of Workday while still influencing the bigger picture, we’d love to hear from you.
