This role is strictly for teachers currently living in Gurgaon / Gurugram.
You will be required to travel to students’ homes in Gurgaon and teach them in person.
This is:
NOT a remote role
NOT an online teaching role
NOT suitable for candidates planning to relocate to Gurgaon later

About the Role
SkillsNCR is looking for capable and dependable home tutors who can work directly with school students at their homes in Gurgaon.
We are looking for teachers who can teach:
Mathematics
Science
Mathematics + Science
All Subjects for relevant school grades
Other subjects, where the teacher has demonstrated capability
You do not necessarily need to teach every subject.
If you are particularly strong in Maths, Science, or Maths + Science, please apply and clearly mention the grades and subjects you can confidently teach.
What You Will Do
Visit assigned students at their homes in Gurgaon
Conduct structured, engaging in-person tuition sessions
Understand the student’s current level before simply starting chapters
Identify areas where the student is struggling
Explain concepts clearly rather than encouraging only memorisation
Help with Maths, Science or other agreed subjects
Support schoolwork, concepts, practice and revision where appropriate
Adapt teaching according to the student’s learning level and pace
Encourage students to ask questions
Maintain discipline while creating a comfortable learning environment
Provide appropriate practice/homework where required
Track progress and areas requiring further attention
Communicate relevant progress or concerns professionally
Be punctual and reliable for agreed sessions
Maintain professional conduct while working inside a family’s home
Follow SkillsNCR’s teaching, communication and child-safety expectations
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for teachers who:
currently live in Gurgaon / Gurugram
are comfortable travelling to students’ homes
can commit reliably to agreed teaching slots
have strong command over the subjects they choose to teach
can explain concepts patiently and clearly
genuinely enjoy teaching children
understand that different students learn differently
can identify gaps rather than simply complete homework
communicate professionally with parents
are punctual, responsible and dependable
are comfortable providing regular progress feedback
can maintain appropriate professional boundaries in a home-teaching environment
Previous school-teaching or home-tuition experience is helpful, but strong subject knowledge and teaching ability are more important than titles alone.

The tutor should therefore be willing to observe, understand and then teach, rather than follow the same method for every child.
Gurgaon Location Requirement
This requirement is non-negotiable.
You must currently live in Gurgaon / Gurugram.
You should be able to travel independently to student homes within Gurgaon based on mutually agreed assignments and schedules.
When applying, you must mention your current Gurgaon sector/locality so that we can match tutors with students sensibly.
Applications from outside Gurgaon will not be considered for this role.

Because you will be working directly with children inside their homes, professionalism is extremely important.
Teachers are expected to:
maintain appropriate behaviour and boundaries
respect family privacy
keep student information confidential
communicate transparently about attendance and scheduling
never use physical punishment or inappropriate disciplinary methods
raise concerns through the appropriate parent/SkillsNCR channel
comply with applicable verification/reference requirements before assignment
Selection Process
Shortlisted teachers may be asked to:
Have a short screening conversation.
Explain which grades and subjects they can confidently teach.
Conduct a short teaching demonstration.
Explain how they would help a student who is struggling with a concept.
Confirm Gurgaon location, travel radius and availability.
Complete appropriate reference/background verification where applicable.
Receive a student assignment only after mutual fit, schedule and commercial terms are confirmed.
