Role Description The Wealth Management Team Head (VP/SVP) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in India. This role is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of wealth managers, ensuring delivery of high-quality advisory and portfolio management services to clients. Daily activities include overseeing financial planning and investment strategies, reviewing client portfolios, monitoring risk and performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The Team Head will drive business growth by developing new client relationships, deepening existing ones, and collaborating with product and research teams to deliver tailored solutions across mutual funds, PMS, insurance, and other investment products. The role also involves setting team targets, tracking performance metrics, conducting regular reviews, and fostering a client-centric, ethical, and high-performance culture.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Financial Planning and holistic wealth advisory, with the ability to design goal-based plans for diverse client profiles.
Proficiency in Investment Management and Investments, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and performance monitoring across multiple asset classes.
Solid grounding in Finance, including capital markets, products, and risk management principles relevant to wealth management.
Working knowledge of Insurance solutions, including life, health, and general insurance, and their role in comprehensive financial planning.
Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing advisory or relationship management teams in wealth management or financial services.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills, with a strong client-first mindset.
Ability to interpret research, market trends, and regulatory developments to inform client strategies and team guidance.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, NISM) are advantageous.
Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and disciplined risk management.
