About The Role
The role owns the native mobile experience end-to-end — building and shipping features across iOS and Android for products used by hundreds of thousands of people daily.
You will work alongside product designers, backend engineers, and PMs to solve problems where performance, offline behavior, battery efficiency, and release velocity all matter equally. This is a hands-on coding role with real ownership over architecture, not a ticket-taker position.
Key Responsibilities
Build, ship, and maintain production mobile features in Swift/Kotlin (or cross-platform Kotlin Multiplatform / React Native, depending on team stack)
Own feature development end-to-end: technical design, implementation, instrumentation, rollout, and post-release monitoring
Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, handling auth, pagination, caching, and offline-first sync patterns
Drive app performance: cold start time, frame rendering, memory footprint, and ANR/crash rates below stated SLOs
Ship releases through App Store Connect and Google Play Console, including phased rollouts, feature flags, and fast rollback procedures
Instrument features with analytics and crash reporting (Firebase, Sentry, or equivalent) and act on the data
Participate in code reviews, write UI and unit tests, and contribute to mobile architecture decisions across both platforms
What We Are Looking For
3–6 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building and shipping consumer or B2B mobile apps to production
Deep proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin, with a strong grasp of platform APIs, lifecycle management, and concurrency (async/await, coroutines)
Experience with modern declarative UI frameworks: SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, or equivalent cross-platform tooling
Track record of shipping apps through App Store and Play Store review processes, including release management and hotfixes
Solid understanding of mobile networking, data persistence (Room, Core Data, SQLite), and testing strategies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Bonus: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bitrise, Fastlane, GitHub Actions), modularized app architectures, accessibility, or having published personal apps
