About the Firm:
A well-established and highly respected California litigation firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing defense practice. The firm handles sophisticated insurance defense and civil litigation matters throughout California.
Position Overview:
The attorney will independently manage a diverse caseload involving general liability, casualty, personal injury defense, premises liability, automobile liability, construction defect, and products liability matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
Represent insureds, businesses, and insurance carriers in civil litigation.
Handle pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
Develop case strategy and communicate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active California Bar membership in good standing.
5+ years of insurance defense and/or civil litigation experience.
Strong experience independently managing a litigation caseload.
Deposition and litigation experience preferred.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $200,000–$250,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
