Role Description This is a volunteer, remote role for a Sales Engineer at Outcome School. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with program and partnerships teams to understand technical offerings and translate them into clear value propositions for employer partners, sponsors, and stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting sales conversations with technical insights, preparing demos or presentations that showcase Outcome School’s pathways and outcomes, and answering technical questions from prospective partners. The role also involves providing light technical support during partner onboarding, documenting common partner requirements, and contributing feedback to improve programs and tools. The Sales Engineer will engage in regular virtual meetings, maintain accurate records of interactions, and help build scalable processes that strengthen employer partnerships and hiring pathways.
Qualifications
Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to explain technical programs and solutions to non-technical audiences.
Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, respond to inquiries, and maintain professional relationships with partners.
Foundational Sales skills, including understanding partner needs, articulating value, and supporting the closing of agreements or collaborations.
Experience or familiarity with education, workforce development, or technology-related programs is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate through online tools.
Comfort with preparing and delivering virtual presentations and product demonstrations.

Background in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field (formal degree or equivalent experience both acceptable).
